Doveridge Neighbourhood Plan

Derbyshire Dales District Council has agreed to move forward to a referendum on the Doveridge Neighbourhood Plan on 14 June, following the publication of an independent Examiner’s report.

Neighbourhood planning gives communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area. In accordance with The Neighbourhood Planning Regulations, the District Council has now published a Decision Statement and the Examiner’s Report in respect of the Doveridge Plan.

These can be viewed online and are also available at the council’s Matlock Town Hall HQ and at the Post Office/Village Store at 26 High Street, Doveridge, from 2nd May (Monday to Friday 7:30am-6:30pm, Saturday 8am-6pm, Sunday 8am-1pm).

The District Council approved Doveridge Parish Council’s application for the designation of the whole of the Parish of Doveridge as a Neighbourhood Area in October 2015.

In December 2016 a formal consultation was carried out by the Doveridge Neighbourhood Plan Group, when comments were invited from statutory consultees, interested groups and local people. These comments were used to inform subsequent drafts of the Neighbourhood Plan.
