Supporting Carers in Derbyshire

Adult Care Learning and Development are piloting a one day workshop ‘Recognising, valuing and supporting carers in Derbyshire’. They are seeking colleagues who can participate in the workshop and provide feedback that will improve the content and design before the workshop goes ‘live’.

The workshops will be held on

  • Friday 20th April 9.30 – 4.30  Room 3, The Hub, Shiners Way, Off Market Street, South Normanton DE55 2AA
  • Friday 27th April 9.30 – 4.30  Room 3, The Hub, Shiners Way, Off Market Street, South Normanton DE55 2AA

The workshop covers an introduction to national legislation and local policy relating to carers, how to proactively identify carers, the assessment process, national eligibility criteria and how to support young carers and adult carers locally. The workshop is designed to improve the skills and knowledge required to identify and support unpaid family carers across Derbyshire and is particularly relevant for new workers or those who would like to improve their understanding of supporting carers.
