Safeguarding Training at High Peak CVS

High Peak CVS is running two Safeguarding courses on Thursday 29th June 2017 at their offices in Whaley Bridge. Both courses are for people working with Children and Vulnerable Adults – the morning course is for volunteers and the afternoon course is for managers.

Volunteers course overview:

You will gain an understanding of what is meant by safeguarding and the risks and duty of care associated with it. The course will cover:-

  • Volunteers roles and responsibilities
  • An overview of Safeguarding Children and Adults
  • Signs and symptoms of abuse
  • Understanding your role in regards to Safeguarding

Cost: Voluntary and community groups without paid workers £20. Voluntary and community groups with paid workers £30.

Managers course overview:

You will gain an understanding of what is meant by safeguarding and the risks and duty of care associated with it. The course will cover:

  • Understanding your role in Safeguarding
  • To provide an overview of Safeguarding Children and Adults
  • To update legislation
  • To look at policies and procedures
  • To check understanding of your role
  • To produce an action plan
