Funding Advice

One of our core functions as a CVS is to offer funding advice to voluntary and community organisations. We do this in a number of ways:

Groups can book a one-to-one advice session with either of our development workers to talk through their project. This would include a funding search using an online funding database as well as our own file on local funders. Alternatively groups can send full details of their funding requirements by email or by telephone and one of our development workers will look into possible funders and respond with information.

In addition to our one-to-one Funding Advice we organise a number of events throughout the year, including specific workshops from funders such as the Big Lottery Fund; Foundation Derbyshire; BBC Children in Need, Heritage Lottery Fund and the Lloyds Bank Foundation. If you are a member of Derbyshire Dales CVS you will be informed of upcoming events regularly by email. To become a member please see our Membership Page.

We also manage a grants scheme on behalf of the North Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group,  Derbyshire County Council Public Health and Derbyshire Dales District Council. The Better Derbyshire Dales Fund is used to make small grants to voluntary and community groups in the Derbyshire Dales for health and well-being related activities or capital projects or any activity or event that has a general community benefit in the Dales.

If you have any question about the Better Derbyshire Dales Fund or would like to book a one-to-one funding advice session please contact Jonathan Simcock or Sarah Paisley at DDCVS on 01629 812154 or contact us by email.
