Sarah Paisley, Development Worker, advises community groups on funding opportunities and other issues.
Sarah Paisley is one of the Development Workers at Derbyshire Dales CVS. As well as advising community groups she co-ordinates the information service provided by Derbyshire Dales CVS, producing the newsletter, managing the website as well as monitoring the development work delivered by the CVS team. Since working at the CVS Sarah has taken part in county study groups around information work – newsletters, bulletins, managing membership, contacts databases, work monitoring methods and effective ways of delivering funding advice. She is qualified to teach adults, having completed the City and Guilds qualification ‘Continuing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector’.
Before joining the CVS Sarah worked at the New Vic Theatre in Newcastle under Lyme as part of the Production team. At the New Vic she also volunteered as a leader with the youth theatre and managed the work experience programme. Prior to her move to the Potteries Sarah studied for a Masters in Theatre and Film at Sheffield University and prior to that she lived on the South Coast co-running a youth theatre in Bedhampton, near Portsmouth and working at Goodwood Flying Club. Sarah had many a catering job during the first half of the 90’s when she also studied for a joint degree in English and Related Arts. Sarah’s interests include reading, listening to music, going to the occasional gig and Pilates.
