DDCVS Annual General Meeting

We are pleased to invite you to our Annual General Meeting. This meeting will take place in the Conference Room, The Agricultural Business Centre, Agricultural Way, Bakewell DE45 1AH. The venue is accessible and parking permits will be available. The venue is accessible by public transport.

Members of DDCVS should have received a formal invitation with additional papers.

The meeting will be a ‘hybrid’ event, and you can attend in person, or you can attend by using a Zoom link which will be provided. For those attending in person, please be assured that every effort will be made to ensure that Covid safety guidelines are followed.

Please note that the agenda for the formal business of the AGM contains an important Special Resolution to enable us to adopt a new governing document. The trustees decided earlier this year that DDCVS should adopt the Charity Commission’s model articles of association, in place of its existing governing document. This does not change the legal status of DDCVS, nor does it affect the rights of Members of the Charity. It is however, a more modern and appropriate document for a modern charity when compared with our original governing documents.

As usual, our AGM will be combined with a Networking Event for local voluntary and community groups and statutory partners, where you can meet other local organisations, and promote your own services. The Networking event will include a talk about the work of Wild Roots Creative by Claire Butler .

The networking event will begin after the AGM at around 11.00 am. If you would like to book a stall for a display promoting your organisation’s work, please let us know. Please book early as places are limited.

In addition, we will also be presenting our annual Derbyshire Dales CVS Award to a local voluntary organisation, and the recipient of the award will be telling us a bit about their work.

Members of Derbyshire Dales CVS are able to nominate people to serve as a Trustee and Director of the CVS. Any such nomination must be received on a nomination form which is available from our office – Tel 01629 812154 or email enquiries@ddcvs.org.uk

If you do wish to nominate someone to stand, we would advise you to contact Neil Moulden in the first instance to discuss the roles and responsibilities of a Trustee and Director of DDCVS.

Nominations must be received by 15th October 2021.
