Co-ordinator Vacancy with Connex’ Digital Inclusion Project
Connex Community Support is a local charity that helps people in need to live safer and more fulfilled lives.
In the Dales, Connex Community Support has a long history of helping people who may be geographically and/or socially isolated. Their ‘Tea, Talk & Tech’ digital inclusion project, is one of the newest additions to their range of services supporting people in the local community. The ethos is very much providing people with help in an informal way, demystifying technology in terms that are appropriate to the individual.
From small steps at the height of the pandemic, when the Connex team remotely supported a handful of service users to connect over Zoom, the organisation is delighted to see this service growing rapidly to meet both digital and social inclusion needs. As this service is growing rapidly, there is a vacancy for a project coordinator: this is an exciting role, requiring someone with drive, passion and excellent interpersonal skills.
The new coordinator will need to continue to reach out to service users who require one-to-one support at home, whilst supporting and expanding our digital community cafés through partnership working and growing our amazing team of Digital Champion volunteers.
Current community hubs are only made possible by working collaboratively with Ashbourne Sports & Community Partnership, the 50+ Forums, Platform Housing and others: you will need to continue to work with our partners to ensure the success of this project.
Part time: 18 hours
Based: Derbyshire Dales
FTE Salary: £23,088
