Food for Friends

‘Food for Friends’ is a Hurst Farm Partnership project initiated as a community response to the COVID-19 situation. It has been 3 months now since the start of the ‘Food For Friends’ Project.

In that short time, 127 Hurst Farm households have completed an application form and enjoyed at least one box from the project.

Over the 12 week period – 861 boxes have been collected by residents.

The project is delivered weekly by Friends of Hurst Farm volunteers and is open to all households on the Hurst Farm Estate. Each week a new box is on offer for collection, it always includes weekly essentials, wholesale fruit & vegetables, plus staple store cupboard ingredients at a subsidised cost to the community. The project has received financial support from the DDDC Local Projects Fund and the National Lottery Awards for All.

If you would like to know more about the project or to sign up for a box please contact Louise Champion by email or telephone 07483 383235
