High Peak Diabetic Self-Help Group

A message from Sue Barber Hon. Secretary of High Peak Diabetic Self-Help Group.

“The COVID  pandemic is lasting longer than anyone could have foreseen.

So we will still not meet indoors. As a high risk group, it is sensible to take precautions.

However, we do need to keep in touch. Hopefully in the summer we can meet outdoors, and for those who wish to walk, there will be the opportunity. For anyone less mobile, we can sit and talk, and catch up with all our news. In the meantime, do  stay safe , well and happy. We still have emails and  phone calls to rely upon.

If there is any way that a small donation could help you, please get in touch. Our funds allow for us to give small grants which might make life easier for you.

Do please, also remember Diabetes UK has a great Careline/ Helpline, if urgent or worrying problems crop up.

0345 123 2399 . This is open 9.0am to 6.0pm weekdays. If things become more pressing , ring 111.

In either case, if they cannot help, they will give you details of someone who can.”
