The Arkwright Society is looking for enthusiastic volunteers

The Arkwright Society is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help tell the story of Sir Richard Arkwright at Cromford Mills near Matlock. We are looking for volunteers to join our excellent team who greet our visitors in the Visitor Centre and help them get the most out of their visit to the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. We are also looking to recruit Tour Guides to really bring the mill to life with our Mill Tours. These are both a great opportunity if you have a few hours spare, want to meet new people, or simply enjoy talking to people, and enjoy living in the Derwent Valley.

All training is provided and volunteering is fully flexible to suit you, so you can come as little or as much as you like. We are looking for help both in the weekday and at weekends, so do get in touch if you would like to hear more. There are also lots of benefits to being a volunteer with us, including discount in our shop and cafes, free parking, training, talks, events and trips, and a lunch voucher if you volunteer all day.

If you are interested in hearing more, please contact Laura by email – volunteering@arkwrightsociety.org.uk or call 01629 343052 and we can see how you can get involved.
