Understanding illegal money lending

With Christmas approaching, some people may be tempted to borrow money through a high interest short-term loan, or worse still, through an illegal money-lender (Loan Shark). There are other, safer and more manageable options including borrowing from a local Credit Union. If you are concerned about the people you support, then a better understanding or Credit Unions and the dangers of Illegal Money Lending could help you to signpost vulnerable individuals more effectively.
